Hot tapping is the method of making a connection to existing piping or pressure vessels without the interruption of emptying that section of pipe or vessel. This means that a pipe or tank can continue to be in operation whilst maintenance or modifications can be achieved. Aqua Installations has designed and developed its own hot tapping equipment which is primarily used to install 15mm sampling / pressure testing or sampling points on steel / steel concrete lined water pipes with a benefit of retrieval of both steel and concrete slugs.
